How K-Rack Reverb Works

Topology

A Modulated Plate, Not A Generic Algorithm

Four input diffusers feed a cross-coupled Dattorro-style tank, producing a dense stereo space instead of a flat, generic wash.

Tail Movement

Static Or Moving, Your Choice

Tail Mod adds pitch and chorus-like movement to the decay – leave it at 0% for a still, classic plate, or push it up for a shimmering, animated tail.

Shape

Size, Damping, And Tone Together

Size scales the internal tank delay lengths, Damping controls high-frequency absorption from 400 Hz to 18 kHz, and Tone shifts the wet signal darker or brighter – three controls that define the room.

K-Rack Reverb module
Freeze

Hold The Tail, Indefinitely

Freeze stops new input, bypasses damping, and raises tank feedback to unity to sustain the current tail forever, ramping in and out over about 50 ms to stay click-free.

Ducking

Space That Steps Back For The Source

Duck reduces the wet reverb while input is present, with its own Depth, Threshold, Attack, and Release, so the tail doesn’t wash out the next transient.
