Frequently asked questions

Both plugins have the same requirements.

Mac

macOS 13 Ventura or later, Apple Silicon or Intel. VST3, AU and AAX.

Windows

Windows 10 or later, 64 bit. VST3 and AAX.

You also need a DAW that loads one of those formats. Pro Tools uses AAX. Most other DAWs use VST3, and Logic Pro uses AU.

1. Quit your DAW.
2. Open the installer (.pkg) from your download and follow the prompts.
3. Enter your administrator password when asked. The plugin installs for every user on the Mac.
4. Open your DAW. If the plugin isn’t there, run a plugin rescan.

The installer puts each format here:

/Library/Audio/Plug-Ins/VST3

AU

/Library/Audio/Plug-Ins/Components

AAX

/Library/Application Support/Avid/Audio/Plug-Ins

A proper Windows installer is on the way. Until then, the download is a ZIP with a VST3 folder and an AAX folder, and installing takes a minute by hand.

1. Close your DAW and unzip the download.
2. From the VST3 folder, copy the .vst3 file into C:\Program Files\Common Files\VST3
3. From the AAX folder, copy the .aaxplugin file into C:\Program Files\Common Files\Avid\Audio\Plug-Ins
4. If Windows asks for administrator permission, click Continue.
5. Open your DAW. If the plugin isn’t there, run a plugin rescan.

You only need the formats your DAW uses. Pro Tools users can skip the VST3 file, everyone else can skip AAX.

1. Quit and reopen your DAW.
2. Run a rescan from your DAW’s plugin manager.
3. Check the plugin is in the folder listed in the install steps above.
4. Make sure your DAW is set to scan the format you installed.

A personal licence can be active on up to three devices at once. Moving to a new computer? Deactivate the old one from your account to free up the seat.
