How do I install Blox Exciter?

Requirements: macOS 13 or later on Apple Silicon or Intel, or 64-bit Windows 10 or 11. Blox Exciter is available as VST3, AU on macOS, and AAX.

macOS

  1. Quit your DAW.
  2. Open Blox Exciter Installer 1.0.0.pkg and follow the prompts.
  3. Enter your administrator password when asked. The plugins install for all users.
  4. Start your DAW. Rescan plugins if Blox Exciter is not found automatically.

Windows

We are working on a dedicated Windows installer. Until it is ready, the Windows download is a ZIP containing two folders, VST3 and AAX, together with installation instructions.

  1. Close your DAW.
  2. Unzip the download.
  3. Open the VST3 folder and copy Blox Exciter.vst3 into:
    C:\Program Files\Common Files\VST3
  4. Open the AAX folder and copy Blox Exciter.aaxplugin into:
    C:\Program Files\Common Files\Avid\Audio\Plug-Ins
  5. When Windows asks for administrator permission, click Continue.
  6. Start your DAW. Rescan plugins if Blox Exciter is not found automatically.

Installing or using the plugin means you accept the EULA included with your download.

Is there a Windows installer?

Not yet. We are working on a dedicated Windows installer. For now, the Windows download is a ZIP containing VST3 and AAX folders together with installation instructions. Follow the Windows steps in the installation question above.

Which operating systems and plugin formats are supported?

Blox Exciter supports macOS 13 or later on Apple Silicon and Intel, with VST3, AU, and AAX formats. It supports 64-bit Windows 10 and 11, with VST3 and AAX formats. Your DAW must support at least one of these plugin formats.

Why isn’t Blox Exciter appearing in my DAW?
  1. Quit and reopen your DAW after installing Blox Exciter.
  2. Use your DAW’s plugin manager to run a rescan.
  3. Confirm that Blox Exciter is in the standard installation folder shown in the installation question above.
  4. Confirm that your DAW is scanning the format you installed: VST3, AU, or AAX.

How do I activate Blox Exciter, and how many computers can I use?

Blox Exciter uses its built-in activation feature, linked to your Pine DSP account. A personal licence can be active on up to three devices at a time. You can deactivate a device through your account to free that seat for another device.

Can I download Blox Exciter again after purchasing it?

Yes. Sign in to the Pine DSP account used for your purchase. Your owned Blox Exciter product will provide a Download option. If your purchase is not shown, email [email protected].
